Why must it go under the stock hood? The 91 I work on all the time has a cowl on it and it needs it too for the clearance. I assume there are some tricks we could do to get the engine lower in the bay, but probably would be at the sacrifice of some of the performance....which you want to keep from the sound of your post.
With a custom wing on the back, seems to me a cowl would fit right in with the theme...including the "monster tach". Ryan
