![]() before you start taking it apart pressure wash w/ light pressure( a garden hose is not enough pressure) the area wher the lower intake meets the heads. this will help eliminate most of the dirt that accumulates there from falling into the lifter valley.also to help when your scraping the heads clean of the intake gaskets you stuff paper towels into the intake ports to help keep it clean( try cutting a piece of card board a little larger than the space between both heads to place in the valley to catch all or most of the trash when you scrap.
