I've tried to set the static timing by putting the motor at TDC then making a mark on the distributor where the #1 plug is then line the rotor up with the mark but it won't do anything but kinda half sputter so I can't even get it running. And I'm trying to set it to 6 deg. advance cause that's what was stock for this motor. I also forgot to tell about the cam. It's a Crower with 212 in/ 218ex at 0.05 lift for a 351w. I did get the firing order right on the distributor cause I've checked it several times. Here is the cam spec card.

This is my first time doing anything with a motor and I had one of my friends help me with it but he did mostly Chevy's before so I may have just missed something. That's why I'm here!
