Default Re: 67 Mustang Timing help

I've tried to set the static timing by putting the motor at TDC then making a mark on the distributor where the #1 plug is then line the rotor up with the mark but it won't do anything but kinda half sputter so I can't even get it running. And I'm trying to set it to 6 deg. advance cause that's what was stock for this motor. I also forgot to tell about the cam. It's a Crower with 212 in/ 218ex at 0.05 lift for a 351w. I did get the firing order right on the distributor cause I've checked it several times. Here is the cam spec card.

Thanks

P.S. This is my first time doing anything with a motor and I had one of my friends help me with it but he did mostly Chevy's before so I may have just missed something. That's why I'm here!
