hey just an fyi for u if u have a efi ho motor and your useing the non ho fireing order u will have problems with popin because the injectors are firing with the ho order of 1-3-7-2-6-5-4-8.and not the non ho order 1-5-4-2-6-3-7-8...like usmc said the chain wont cause a problem unless its sloppy or not lined up right....so any ways if u do have the efi ho and u put the non ho order cam in it plan on swaping that cam out again if u want it to run right ...and to answer the question befor its asked you cant re wire the injectors it wont run right

You have a lot of good advice given above. The chain isn't your problem.

You said you degreed it....if you did and it came out OK then it isn't retarded, unless you used a different chain set to degree it then you used to run it.

Look elsewhere. Start with firing order, intake leak, etc.
