Default Re: 98 mustang gt 4.6l cat converters

A stock 1998 GT actually comes with no fewer than 6 cats. Your car has an aftermarket offroad exhaust. To fix this an "MIL" eliminator kit can be bought. All this is is a resistor you plug in between the factory harness and the two rear oxygen sensors. This tricks the computer to think that the cats are working fine so it doesnt turn on the check engine light. I had these on my 1998 gt and they worked fine. I would reccomend getting a Diablo chip or a SCT excalibrator chip which will also eliminate this problem but it will give you more power for a little more money than the MIL eliminators.
