is there anyway to make a 302 HO into a 347 Stroker? or is it pointless since your taking out the HO cam and putting in a new one anyways and along with taking out the forged pistons for new ones?

Well, the 302HO or 5.0HO's go back to 1982. If you're talking about EFI versions of the engines, there are some differences.
#1 Firing order #2 87-92 5.0HO's had forged pistons. '93s got the hypers. #3 Camshafts #4 '86 5.0HO and the 87+ non 5.0HO got E6SE heads (suck) Yes, you can make a 302 into a 347. You'll just need a conversion kit (not a simple swap) and unless you're planning on adding heads/cam/intake, it's absolutely a waste of money. The stock parts will restrict your power production. |
