Thanks guys, I never saw either part in catalogs but wondered if I was nuts . I had to shove the boot down to screw the knob back on, it does not interfere with shifting at all, just does not fit as good as it did before Looks like I'll be getting used to it as is and time to order the new inner boot from Ford too
