Thanks. I have less overhead, so I can pass on the savings. I do need to buy some new equipment though, which means my rates will probably go up in January. Around here most dealers charge $70+ p/h and most indies charge $60 p/h. The general rule of thumb is to charge double your standard rate for diagnostics, and then if they elect to have you perform the repairs, you charge your regular rate from that point on.
