you wont be able to launch at any higher of a RPM unless someone put in a higher stall converter in the car before you owned it

and are you sure that it shifts at 5200? mine never shifted any higher than like 4600

maybe you have a shift kit in there already that raises shift points, but you said you didnt notice the shifts and shift kits will make it shift harder and you would notice that

mine ran best when i set my shift light at 5300RPM so i would shift then and the AOD takes about 150-200 more rpm before it would actually shift, so it would be like a manual shifting at 5450-5500 or so
