Clad,
That does sounds like a whole lot of dough for a 5.0. The only way that it would cost that is if he paid someone to do it. He could probably puchase a practically new engine for a little over 2000. He would need to replace the tranny, which he could get from a wrecking yard for 100-150, and maybe strengthen up the rear axle. I truthfully don't know about the rear axle, because I don't know the stats of your out-put shaft in comparision to the output on a 5.0. --Mustfreak
