![]() My brother just got a 2000 3.8. Taking the air silencer off was no big deal. There are a couple of screws that you need to take loose to be able to move the whole box around. Once you do that the air silecer preety much just pulls off. Its just held in by a kind of rubber channel. As far as the filter goes he just bought the normal replacement K&N and put it in. There wasn't a huge differece but I'm sure its better than stock. Hope I helped some.
