I'm glad your going to use the template because I would never drill such important holes unless I knew for sure where to do it. I also will be doing this and am looking to get the template.
As far as the alignment goes keep looking around and if there are any mustang clubs near you contact them for referrals. You have to find someone that does not do twelve of them in a day! It might take you awhile but you'll find one and if it costs a little more, it will be worth it.
