![]() You need flexplate from any 351W (or I think Cleveland) with AOD with 164 teeth and (small) 28 oz balance factor - older 302's are similar but snout depth is wrong and newer 302's have heavier balance. Sealed Power can provide, or Ford # is EOAZ-6375-A. Trans mount has to be modified- mount holes are farther back than with C4 (how compare to manual?) - and are available from several Mustang specialty shops. Don't know if manual driveshaft same length as C4 - would think so - then could use as is as long as you don't have Lincoln or pickup trans with 3/4" longer tailshaft. Would DEFINITELY use baumannengineering.com shift kit, and check their site for some AOD tips. Will also help you figure out which year AOD you have, later ones have upgrades. Good converter does wonders - AOD lockup converts kind of $ at $300+ for decent quality. Check Art Carr will tailor stall. baumann good info on TV rod setting - MUST DO!! I'm doing to 70 (from C-4) and have AOD I just hopped up + 2000 converter in my Lincoln LSC 5.0 - works GREAT! Plus lower hiway rpm lowers engine wear, increases mileage.
