That is the reason I am changing mine... I just recently went to Key West and while I was there the bearings in my fan clutch went, and the fan was way loose and almost falling off.. so I got a flex fan as a temp fix.. I had to take the shroud off completely to get it in since the engine was so low on it.. you could see where the old fan was hitting the shroud. An electric fan will come soon.. here is the fan now, without the shroud! See how close the blade is to the compressor!!
