I have used up to a Comp 292 cam in my original 289 in my 65 Stang. That cam worked great evan with stock rocker studs and .534 lift. I now am using a Comp Xtreme energy cam with ported stock heads with 1.90 1.60 valves. Ran great with the performer RPM intake and runs even better with the EFI system I use now.
