C-4 to Toploader

yeah but if you like throwing your own gears, like me, its well worth it. the toploader is wicked tough, can handle more punishment than T5s and automatics in stock form and a lot more fun on the street. i have only 2 regrets on mine.....its kinda heavy and i wish i had a 5th gear sometimes but you cant beat it in any other catergory. besides your car will be worth more as a 4 speed. be sure NOT to get a truck style toploader. there were others besides the ones from musclecar era that had very low first gear......not for performance, and they were basically 3 speeds. also if you have the time and plan on racing with it, have a machinist go through it and shave the necessary pieces so you can powershift. ive been told detent pins/synchronizers can be machined for smooth quick shifts. mine isnt done yet, probably costing me a few tenths.
