I have bought a Hur$t shifter for my 66' Stang and for some reason my back up lights while only go off when I shift into 2nd gear. I was wondering if anyone has had any experince with one of the aftermarket shifters.

Ha at least you got them to come on. Mine wouldn't even make the nuetral safety switch function properly. I have the V-Matic Hurst shifter. I just said screw it and left it like that.

Well I figured it out. There is an adjustment screw so you can the back and forth until you can get it right. you should be able to hear a click when it hits the switch,
