Not sure what motor or carb you have.

Does it cut out reving in neutral, or just under excelleration?

If it is under excelleration it is probibly in the fuel system, to enclude lines, pump, carb, filter etc.

Will it catch itself when you let out of it? Or just dies and has to be restarted? This is a fuel pressure problem.

If your running electric pump make sure it is close to the tank and has enough voltage to it.

Blocked fuel lines/filter can cause this also.

Ofcourse the carb could be off,float/excel pump/power valve.

If your timing was too high or low it would just rattle or ping, shouldnt cut out or off.
