The truth is, if you're putting a 302 into a 64 1/2, then it really doesn't matter what color because it can't be correct anyway. Make it what pleases you. Ford blue always seems nice to me. Of course, you can make an original 289 into a 302 with just a crank and piston change with nobody the wiser.
