Hmmm...

My guess is that he wasn't racing. The '99 Cobra was the first year of the new body style, there was no '00, now again there is a '01.

Both the 99,01's run mid/high 13's off the floor, and they are both much stronger than that with 320hp on the hiway. They don't have very good gearing so it holds them back out of the hole.
