![]() Your fuel pump should not whine. When it's running you should be able to hear a very quiet whirring sound.
Mine was whining for quite a while before it finally kicked the bucket, but with those kind of miles, you're already pressing the envelope. I don't understand why people want to go so much bigger on fuel pumps than necessary. It adds cost, electical draw, and puts undue pressure on the fuel return system and regulator. Unless you are going to use a power adder, 155 lph is the most versitle pump at the best price for you. If you plan on using a supercharger, or NOS, then go with a 190 lph, if you plan on going all out, then maybe the 255. In your scenerio as it sits, you'd be fine with a 110 lph unit. Stock is only about 88 lph, which should support about 250hp in prime condition. |
