Red82GT, I think your exactly right. I bumped my timing a few degrees a few days ago and it started idling realy rough and the surging got worse. Its gotta be fuel. I was going to start building a 331 stroker but I just might get a Holley Systemax kit for my 302 instead. Im pleased with my torque output though. 292 at the wheels seems decent to me.
