Don't ever let anyone tell you an 8,000 rpm chevy won't pull hard down low. THis past May, my oldest son won a day at the Richard Petty NASCAR thing in Dallas and the car he said the thing had LOTS of low end grunt and it pretty much stayed at 7500-7800 all the way around the track. I got to go with him and believe me these things would roast the tires if you weren't real easy on the gas taking off. They would die pretty easy if you went too easy but from just off idle they were making some serious horsepower.
