According to my calculations, exgmguy was going 177 miles per hour.

If you were in 6th gear and you had an accurate tach that said you were doing 6500 RPMs, you would indeed be going 246.768 MPH. exgmguy didn't do 88.5 at 2700 RPMs and then just double it to figure if he can go 177. His engine was actually rotating at 5400 rpms.
