Just a blower on that car would just get him in the ballpark of the WS-6, and won't smoke anything around. The 96-98's for some wierd reason didn't respond to blowers as well as the 99+. Sorry, I guess I should have been a little clearer. I had the SVO Heads and Intake in mind. SVO Heads and Intake change the story a lot. If you disagree with me still, I invite you to race Hammer's 98 GT

But on stock heads and intake, you are probably right.
