Have you checked the fuel pressure right when it dies?

Mine recently did the same thing; sometimes I could drive it all day, then out of the blue it would just quit. Wait 5 minutes and it would fire up. Damn thing drove me nuts, I was looking at things like the pick-up coil, ignition coil, TFI module just to name a few.

It never dawned on me to check the fuel pressure but then it hit me, It was behaving like fuel line vapor lock...

Turned out to be the fuel pump intermittently quitting. Put a new 190lph pump in it and all’s well.
