				 | Invite to Canada for real street racing... Correct me if I'm wrong here... From what I can read, it seems you guys (in the US) are always facing nasty ricers and one shot races from light to light. We have a non-official group of about 60 cars or more in Ottawa where we meet and go racing at Midnight every clear Fridays and Saturdays. Usually, if the cops don't show up, we race till 4AM. We have Stangs, Camaros, Firebirds, Imports (13 second Civics, Integras, DelSols), 911, Cudas, SS, Audi S4, even sport bikes. There is this crazy as with a Hyabusa (1300cc) speed guy that reaches 100MPH in less than 4secs... that's faster than jumping out of an airplane and reaching 100MPH. This is an invite for all of you... plus with your strong US Dollar, this would be a cheap trip for all of you interested. ------------------ Lizard King - 00GT >> 13.698 @ 101.2MPH - BONE STOCK, yes BONE(even air filter) stock. | Sorry, exgm. Ottawa's about 4 hrs away from Toronto plus the over 3hr drive from Detroit to here. It's quite a ways for you to go. But, I may just have to check it out this summer. It's all rice around here these days. We cruise out to Hamilton (around 45 mins west of us) to see decent cars & action.... ------------------ 91 coupe 3.73's,long tubes,2 1/2" exh, ported stock t-body,ProM-77mm cobra intake, edelbrock heads,B303,1.72 rr's 36lb inj's,tremec, & a Paxton NOVI 2000!!! 11.020 @128.95 on BFG Drag Radials (275/60/15) |

				 | There are quite a few races over in Windsor I think. I went over there a few times and all I saw were mustangs, camaros, and every other kind of car. My buddy dated a girl from there and she said they raced quite a bit. Do you guys from Canada know anything about this? BTW, here in Detroit we race until the sun comes up, if the cops don't catch us! [This message has been edited by 88GT5.013.02 (edited 01-12-2001).] |

				 | We go out for seconds if the cops catch us! ... Seriously, though US Dollar right now in here, you go eat at McDonalds for about $2.50, you could sleep in a very nice hotel for about $55.00... It'd be a nice trip eh? ------------------ Lizard King - 00GT >> 13.698 @ 101.2MPH - BONE STOCK, yes BONE(even air filter) stock. "I can do anything, I'm the Lizard King." - The Doors |

				 | Hey 86gt, I would love to go over and see some racing during the summer. I just hate the hassle of going through customs. Especially with a modded mustang, they would have to give you trouble if they heard the way it sounded. The car is still in my dad's name also, due to insurance purposes. It sounds like fun though! ------------------ 88GT stock shortblock, ported GT-40 iron heads, Edlebrock Performer intake, 24# inj, Pro-M 75mm Bullet MAM, 3.73, hurst short throw, F-303, electric fan, alum rad, FMS HD clutch, R134a ac conversion, 70mm TB , and some other stuff I probably forgot, best run so far on ET streets is 13.02@106 with a 1.87 60ft Only been to the track once still alot more tuning to do and need more driving experience.(Full body weight GT, full tank of gas, and sway bars connected, gonna disconnect sway bars and dip |
