Wasn't there a book called "How to Avoid a Ticket" written by an ex-Highway patrolman?

I remember the phrase "Keep your liking of the Grateful Dead to yourself" in reference to Dead stickers on the car
The man also said that the "Restroom Excuse" works well.

Some years ago, I got nailed for 85 in a 25 mph zone at half past midnight in my '66 Charger.
Spnt five minutes in the cruiser.
Walked back to may car, sat in the driver's seat, and my concerned friend asks, "What'd ya get?"
I handed him the ticket.

It was a warning for the Tail lamps being out........
