![]() The Fox body used both the 3.35, and the 2.95 1st gear ratio's.
I'm pretty sure the extra length is all related to the crossmember mounting on the SN95's being a little different. The input shaft on the SN95 cars is 7.85", the input shaft on the Fox is 7.18". So the bellhousing is also different, has to be longer to use the extra 3/4" of input shaft. Swapping the input shaft and the front bearing retainer would enable you to convert an SN95 T-5 to 83-93 specs for fitment. |
