I agree some people do need them, no doubt about it. I will get some if I need them when I get a new hood.

Some people put them on just because they think it adds to their car's looks. Example: My ex had a camaro when I met her(6 1/2 yrs ago), she got it cheap and it was 'transportation'. It was a 84 6 banger with the stock hood! I just had to laugh
