I just checked from 1987-1993 and the heaviest curb weight listed for a GT Hatch was 3194lbs. The ranged in as tested weights was from 3080lbs in 1987 to 3194 in 1988. The other years ranged from 3144-3191. This information came from the NADA website.

I really don't think the Mustang is as heavy as what people think.
