The '00 intake and heads flow much better (40 hp worth) then the '97, so yes you would have to at least recalibrate the computer.

According to my FRPP catalog the High Performance Engine Management Computer is "Recommended for only for use with M-6049-D46 cylinder heads"

The M-6049-D46 is the higher performance FRPP head.
