They do give power and make the car rev much easier without a doubt. They also don't really effect charging although lately I have experienced some dimming at idle but this is after having the pulleys for two years. I think it's due to my idle being slower for something unrelated..

-What you must be careful with is the crank pulley when you install it. I have heard a few horror stories of engines being destoyed from improperly installed pulleys. The reason for this is that if the crank pulley isn't tightened down correctly, something happens between the crankshaft and cam. I know I'm not explaining this completely accurate but it's true. I picked up my Bassani X-pipe and my C&L from another Cobra owner who blew his engine from the pulleys installed improperly.

-Just make sure the crank pulley is as close to the engine block as possible when completed, with no wobble at all.
