On our cars no. The stock mufflers flow really well as they are so changing them out makes very little to no difference except for sound. I know of a couple of shops locally and have only seen a 1-2 HP difference between most mufflers and to be honest that could be chalked up to a change in air temperature.
I may try a different Offroad pipe and go with an custom X pipe with the X in the front. This is how the Nascar pipes are and is suppose to create more power. Maybe do that and go with Dynomax bullet mufflers (lighter that flowmasters). |
