![]() GTRragtop: I think that in your average top-speed duel ability (maybe 1 mi long roll-on against an M3 from 70 to 130 +-)should be judged in part by the roll-on acceleration time from about 70 to 130. This,in my experience covers the majority of freeway top-end race situations. My car pulls so much stronger in 5th now from 70 on up I have a much better chance of out-accelerating someone now then I did with the stock gearing whether down low or on top. All things being equal, below 130 mph I dont see how the 3:73's would out-perform the 4:10's. Now if you live in Nevada or some other deserted place with 20 mi straights then you may need something different! My point is simply, acceleration is king over whether or not your car redlines at 140mph or 150mph.
