I just put a home made cold air kit (PVC Pipe and Rubber PVC connectors, from lowes) on my 99 GT, it seems to have helped the top end alot, but it also killed some low end torque.

Basically, the car seems to have slightly less power before 3000 than with the stock intake, but now i break traction at 4500 rpm in 1st and occasionally in 2nd, and it didnt do that until i put the pipe on. Through the beginning of 1st a stock GT would pull about a 1/2 car on me, but end of 1st i make it up and pull about 1/2 car length through 2nd. The results might be the same for a cobra with similar mods to mine, with different mods maybe better or worse.

Tim
