![]() Ive done it myself, and the second time around, I paid a shop. But I paid $150.00, which I thought was worth it. If you have to pay $300, I would do it myself. You need a bearing press, a dial indicator, a shim kit. Its not real hard, but even if you take your time, you might end up with some gear whine. If you can live with that, go for it. You can take the pinion to a auto parts store, and they should press the bearing on and off for you.
