Question

Update:

I took the car in today to get a tune-up. The mechanic told me that the car should get new plugs, fuel filter and check the mass air meter (things my dad and I can do). However..... He mentioned that my O2 sensors aren't working properly, causing the car to 'hesitate' when accerating.

Here's my question: First, I'm not the mechanic in the family so don't laugh too hard after seeing this question.

I installed X-pipes in Nov. Now, when you take the cats off, I thought there are no O2 sensors. Is that right? We did install MIL eliminators but the check engine light is still on! Please advise.

Thanks guys!
