Here are some issues durability wise to look at...
LS1 *Weak rear end. *Weak clutch (99-00's can barely handle drag radials without slipping, get an A4). *Miss a gear or over rev and bend a push rod. 4.6 *Weak trans. *Weak IRS(Cobra only) (Couldn't handle very much abuse at the track). *Throw out bearing was a problem on the 99/00's, seems to be fixed on 01's. *Carrier bearings in the rear end fail quick on the 99-00's. |
