I am actually planning on doing a swap also. At first I was going to do the same, but i relized how much it would cost. Wiring alone would be about $2,000. But that could be different for you, thats what my mechanic would charge. However, to put a 5.0 souped up beyond belief would give you more hp, and cost a hell of a lot less than the 4.6. I also love the modular engines, but if you dont have 3k to have the engine installed, i would go with the 5.0. Also, I don't think the old tranny will mount up to the 4.6, but I could be wrong. I know it will mount up to a 94 Gt however. Good luck.
