You can save some of the cost by joining one of the Mustang teams. There are a lot of teams that form for the races, by car type and best of all if you are part of one of the teams you get a 10% discount.

But no doubt it is expensive to do. However, I can guarantee if you do it once you will get hooked BIG TIME! My first race was in 97 and I've been going ever since. For me that means a 2,500 mile trip each way to the race and back.
