You might have a venting problem. I had a similar crankcase pressure problem. When I built my 347 I had so much pressure I was blowing out the seal at the back of my intake manifold, even though I had an open breather on each valve cover. I had to setup a good suckin pcv system to vent the crankcase
Just something to consider, hope it helps.
