I haven't ever worked on a newew stang but I can give some ideas to you.

Where do the wires connect to the speakers?

Is there any way to soften up the solder bead with a gun and just disconnect the wires?

If so try doing that and then hooking up the wires to your new speakers.

If not, give me a better description and I'll try and find some info on it for you.
