It's the power of the V-8 Mustang that accounts for the 'sound' you hear from so many 'Stangs.

A four-cylinder engine is never going to produce the same kind of sound - because it can't; totally different engine configuration, dynamics and of course, less engine area.

A free-flowing muffler will make a four (or six) cylinder engine exhaust louder but it usually ends up sounding more like a protracted farting sound on most 4 cylinder cars. Lame.
