![]() LS1JAY,. I didn't see a track name or a date on that that slip. What's with that? why can't you show us a real one? I think I know the real reason. Why don't you just admit it?

![]() I say we give LS1Jay a break. With good air, a good driver, and a good launch, LS1s are known to run low 13s on street tires. You occasionally hear of a T/As running high 12s on street tires, but that's kinda rare. I mean, low 13s with an LS1 just isn't that unusual so I don't know what the issue is.
So he ran 14.6. Jay didn't have to post the results from that run, but he did anyway. With a 2.8 60 ft. time I imagine he lost a lot of time due to wheelspin. Anyway, welcome to the site Jay and I think you'll find the members here are ok guys. ------------------ '91 LX Procharger, 3 row intercooler, extrude honed Cobra intake, Mac full Length Headers, 30# inj., 73mm C&L, 75mm tb, E303 cam, 289 rods, ported E7 heads, MSD, T-Rex w/255 lph Walbro, 5 lug conversion, Cobra R wheels, 3.27 gears and Moser Axles. |

![]() Yeah guys, lets not get on him too hard. Rev, these cars do run pretty damn fast stock. I know its frustrating, but its true. He does have a few mods, and those simple mods that he does have respond very well on those LS1's.
Lets try not to have so much hostility here guys. Don't jump on each other so quick. Nice to have anothe camaro guy here. I'm jelous your cars faster than mine and its almost stock ![]() Skyler ------------------ -1989 Saleen Mustang #406- TFS Heads, Edelbrock intake, E-303, 3.73's, 1 5/8 shortys, Offroad-H, 2chamber flows, 36psi FPR, 15degrees timing, 70mm tb, 73mm maf, 24lb inj, Crank pulley, MSD6A, Alum driveshaft. ![]() Rev, I was at the track and saw the car run. Desoto dragway uses an older 386 processor and program to run their track setup. Since they are worried about it's Y2K compliance they bump the date way back and never change it. Also, for the past 2 years that I have been running there the class is always set to Harley. Go figure. Check my signature for what the timeslips look like. I was there on the same days that Jay was.
I've also been able to get my car down to 12.2s on street tires, Goodyear RSAs to be exact. It took alot of tire burning before staging to get them to stick. I now have some pep boy specials on the back for the next time out at the track since I ate up the RSAs pretty quick. I've got a slip around here somewhere from when I ran a 13.3 at 95mph. I ran a 7.8X 1/8th but the car got squirley on the 2-3 so I just kept it at that speed. jess ------------------ 99 Z28 A4 3.23 Lid/Filter,MAF,MACs/OR,cutout,tb,MW3200 stall 321rwhp/330rwtq The Sled stock vs mods dyno Time slip |

![]() 90dpscoupe, I will try and remember all my friends mods to his stang, 302 EFI, 351 windsor heads-ported-polished-& shaved, GT40 intake, 530+ lift cam, pulleys, march ram air,K&N, larger mass air meter, larger throttlebody, 373 gears+5speed, weld draglites, ET streets, suspension work, your basic other stuff but all on motor! motor is not bored. also, thanks NO SLO PK for you'r word of confidence that goes for Skyman too!! thanks! and Rev, the reason I didn't show the whole slip was because I did not know I had to! I put that up on my website just for the heck of it, and trimmed it up to look neat not to hide anything, it was a bi-run no one else on the slip but me, maybe later tonight I will get out the slip and post the whole thing up there just for you Rev! remember I am at sea level in Fl and it was a nice day 55-60 degrees.

![]() OK guys, I guess I'm just the perennial skeptic. 13.1 is a 1/2 sec. faster than the stock LS1's that I've seen at the track, that's HRP (sea level). I guess the picture of the time slip is just a cropped shot, ommitting the track and date. I appologize for coming on stonger than I intended. If LS1JAY's car runs a 13.1, then I'm happy for him. He'll waste a lot of other LS1's, Cobras, and modded Stangs.

![]() It kills me. Alot of the guys around here run better than my car did stock. But I have also picked up better per mod than anyone else. I guess it's better that way. I'd rather start slow and then pickup faster. John (Raughammer) runs at HRP also. He ran around a 13.1 stock also. He runs mid 11s now with boltons. Look for his car out there. It is cayane red and it's a 98 Z28 automatic.

![]() Hee, hee, your buddy's Stang runs a full second faster than mine in the 1/8 th. My best is 9.086/80.69. Actually I like all fast cars. Even European and Asian. Its only posers that I object to, and there aren't many on this board fortunately.
