11 sec ricer on crack!

I have a friend who is in to the ricer thing and always has his ricer buddies over at his house.
The other day I went over there and I over heard him telling everyone that his Honda civic runs 11.s in the 1/4 mile. I told him there was no way he is running that in that car and asked him if he meant 11's in the 1/8 mile, that I could believe, and he said no. So I ask what he had done to it to see if he even had anything done to it. He said (quote) it has some letters on the motor and some stickers too, and my car is very light.
What an idiot.

Some people are so stupid; do they really believe that there stock car can run that fast?

I was gonna make a new post about it, but have you seen the new celica adds? they have a few variations, (like some guy yelling at the parked celica "slow down , this is a neighborhood") that point out how the car "Looks fast." All i see on it is a double stack wing. There are some wheels that aren't outlandish (or large enough) to really be ricy.

Some people really are dumb. That guy your talking about really sounds like a moron. Take him to the strip some time.

My next door neighbor is a major ricer. Has some kind of Import with V-Tec stickers all over it and "Powered by JGHDCKHFLE, some japenese lettering" Tim C says it translates into powered by Turd.

He's always "tuning" his car.

He calls tunning taking of the tires and rotating them. His girlfriend (who was extremely cute) came over and asked if they could borrow one of my Lug Wrenches. She said his wheels keep coming loose and about fall off.

I supressed a big laugh and handed her my Lug Wrench. Later on the week his mom came over and told me someone in a Red Mustang chased him and made him spin out into a ditch. She lies like hell all the time, so does he. They probably think it was me, I heard what really happened was that his wheel fell off while going 40 MPH.

Now hes ricing up his moms 98 Escort ZX2. Theres all kinds of stickers all over it and I heard him telling one of his crack smoking friends that he can dust Mustang GT's all day long in it.

Yeah right. His one friend said that since he lowered his Civic he could hang with Z28'S and GT's. Its got these garish 20 inch rims and stickers all over the place, the windows, the body, and the huge wing.

THey always talk loud enough that I can hear them when I'm outside. And when my friends come over in there Mustangs and old fords they stand outside till we leave. Dont know why. Maybe they want to see what real power is!

Clueless.

Five0: I think a rather LARGE bet is in order. Take him to the drag strip, even offer to pay his entrance fee, and then when he comes back to the pits with a 15+ timeslip he should already be well shut up. I don't know how you stand living next to people like these, I couldn't!!!

I think it is hopeless, I don't even know if he believes his own story. He admitted that my car would whip his a$$ but he said (quote) Yea but you have a v8. He some how believes that my car runs faster than his and would whip his *** even though I run a 12.5 1/4 mile but he gets better times than me.

I just can't figure it out.

I had a similar and almost as insulting experience. My fiance's cousin tried to tell me that his mom's '97 buick station wagon would give me a good run because it had a 350. He wouldn't listen to reason for months.

Until he rode in my car.

Anyway, there are always going to be stupid people out there, and no matter how many we "school", there will always be one more to annoy us at the next light.

I had a kid, not a ricer just a moron, who thought that his '80 mercedes turbodiesel wagon could take my car. He, like most people, thought that jsut cause it had turbo in the name meant it was fast.
