Thumbs down ip posting

I realize there is a need to log ip addresses for site security reasons, however, there is absolutely NO REASON for them to be listed publicly. I have a fixed IP, and therefore posting my IP is like posting my street address for everyone to see, or the combination to my safe (if I had one).

over at Stangnet they hide them.

please follow suit.

sincerely,

Rob

This has been discussed before... Hardly no one complains about this any ways. But, I will consider it.

Why are you so concerned that your IP address is showing? Are you afraid that someone is going to Nuke you or Flood you? If thats the case you can download patches from Microsoft to fix these bugs.

If you really want to hide your IP badly, then get a IP spoofer. I don't have a problem with it, I am fully protected. I even run a personal firewall on my PC to protect against Nuke, PingODeath, Flood, OOB packets, etc.

Please follow suit.

I don't really know that much about it...
figured it would be easier to have admin only access to IP than to learn 5 new programs... Hell, I can't even get my lan back up since they installed the dsl line.

Write me an e-mail describing your problems, and I can try to help you through them. Networking is my specialty.
