Question high oil pressure question

Hey, i have a 94 gt. Last month the car was low on oil and i added 1/2 quart of 10w30 castrol synthetic oil. It had regular castrol oil, 10w30 also. ever since i mixed the two the gauge was getting all the way up to the H, but it would come down. Any idea why this might be happenning? I also changed the oil and put regular 10w30. How can i check to see if its a faulty gauge. Thanks...

Buy a 10 dollar sunpro mechanical gauge and check it that way. Just remove the sending unit and install the pressure line. Only to check!!!!. I had similar troubles, I split an oil filter open, turns out the regulator/bypass inside the oil pump was sticking.
Ever see an AutoMeter gauge spin all the way around
