Default Smog pump

No tricks to removing the smog pump. Just unbolt the two bolts and cap off the smog tubes. You will need a shorter belt. I don't know what size because mine was off when I bought it.

Just did this on my 91LX. Just pull off the pump and plug all the lines. I pulled everything off I could, the pipe accross the back of the heads, the tubes and hoses and the vaccuum lines that were attached. I ended up plugging the remaining vaccuum lines and the tube off the x pipe with bolts and clamps.

Oh yeah and I used a 76" belt if I remember and I have A/C (for now).

Why are you removing it in ther first place? It's only worth 1-2 hp, and a replacement is $30 or less. Unless your heads won't allow AIR pipes, and you have no cats, I'd leave it on.

I am going to be adding the off road H pipe here real soon with the flowmaster 2 chamber kit! I just figured i would chuck it since it won't be doing much of anything anymore! And i was wondering if i could just weld where the tube connects to the h pipe and get rid of it completly instead of plugging the tube in the motor compartment?
