![]() I have an 86 gt that I've had for about 6 years. When I took the heads off the motor, the pistons looked funny to me. On top of the pistons it reads ".030", but they are also completely flat with no valve reliefs. The heads say 65 289 on them, and the valves measure 1.94" intake and 1.60" exhaust. I know that the block is a late model (it has a B-303 roller cam in it). It has 1.7 motorsport rockers on the heads. The original owner swears that the short block came from FORD, and says it's a RHO motor. My question is have you guys ever heard of this??
Thanks |

![]() well what 3 letter casting is on the inside of the block..XXX, YYY?those are both casting #'s for roller motors..in 86 the pistons had no reliefs..what proablly happened was they did a stock rebuild with .030 pistons made for 86(no reliefs)..the heads sound like they are exactly what they say they are..i know that is not the # for 86 heads..1.94 souds kinda big...stock et7z is 1.84 and 1.54 if i remeber correctly..i dont know if they would of put a 1.94 into a 289 head???

![]() The casting on the head reads "C6OE-C". I was told they have a 54.5 cc chamber. The original owner of the car gave me the flow bench paperwork. The heads flowed 220 cfm intake and 191 exhaust at .490 lift. I don't know if these numbers are any good. He told me that the numbers were on par with out the box TWISTED WEDGE heads.
I've looked everywhere and I can't find any info on a RHO motor from Ford. I was lucky that he gave me so much documentation, but what I really needed, I can't find |
